My happy baby!

This is her killer smile! She is definitely more giggly and smiley. The only time she shows her tears are when she wants me. Usually she is tired and just wants me to soothe her. She does whine here and there too but just screaming with no tears.

She is eating her solids like champ! She finished whole two cubes (two tablespoons per cube) of apple and sweet potato purees. AND two table spoons of rice cereal! I know it may not seem a lot but for her it is. She started off with one table spoon of rice cereal per day about 2 weeks ago.

Thought I just update my blog about my girl for my record! ;)

Kasie is 6 months old already! I can’t believe it! It’s crazy how time just flies by so quickly. Soon she will be a year old and 5 and 10 and 20 and getting married! Oh Em gee… Lol.

She started her solid few days ago. She makes gross face yet she opens her mouth wide for some more. She is eating rice cereal and apple puree right now. Slowly expanding her diet. Next puree I plan to make is sweet potato puree! Yum yum in my tum! Hehe.

My goal is to make all the purees myself. It’s a lot of work but I really don’t believe in store bought jarred baby food. I’m not saying it’s bad. I’m one of them who grew up eating those. It’s just that I prefer to give my baby homemade food as much as possible. I’m a control freak so I like to know exactly what’s in it. Especially when it’s going inside my precious little one.

My life right now feels super busy. My day to day schedule goes something like this…

6:30am Kasie wakes up babbling away so I awake.

7am feed Kasie milk and take turn taking care of Kasie with husband so we can eat breakfast and take shower.

9am feed Kasie solids and play.

9:30am put Kasie in swing and start cleaning and start roomba. Kasie naps on swing.

11am feed Kasie milk and play.

11:45am put Kasie in stroller and take Ellye out for potty/walk.

1pm feed Kasie solids and I eat lunch and clean and play.

2pm feed Kasie milk and play.

3pm Kasie naps and I do laundry.

4pm start prepping for dinner while keeping Kasie entertained. (This is when I start to slow down and get tired. Lol)

5pm feed Kasie milk and play.

6pm feed Kasie solids and play.

6:30pm husband comes home and play with Kasie while I cook dinner.

7pm eat dinner and rest while husband plays with Kasie.

7:50pm husband give Kasie bath. I clean kitchen.

8:15pm I feed Kasie and put her to bed.

8:30pm clean all bottles and sterilize.

9pm clean up all toys and dirty laundry and fold clean laundry.

10pm rest! Facebook. Pinterest!

11pm sleep!

Yup! This is my daily schedule! Monday mornings I go to Baby class and go out few times during the week. Those days I have to cramp all the house chores! Lol!

Oh being a mom! Lol! I still love it! :)

My baby got her first bump and bruise on her forehead. :( (left side as you can see in photo)

My brother was over at my house taking care of my baby while I was making dinner before husband arrived from work.

And then all of sudden I heard loud thump. I ran over to living and saw my brother holding Kasie in shock. I asked him what happened. He said Kasie puked a bit on the floor so he wanted to clean it up so he set her down on couch. And then all of sudden she fell on hardwood floor. I’m guessing she was trying to sit up and had rolled over and dropped.

My brother is very very upset. He thinks it’s his fault. But we know it was just a mistake. My mistake for not reminding him that we’ve stopped leaving Kasie on couch for that reason.

Kasie cried so hard but thankfully stopped quickly when I held her and soothed her in my arms. She seemed alright. Started smiling and giggling after that.

But I have to say it broke my heart into pieces. It’s almost 10pm and she is sound asleep and I’m still healing from that incident. It’s keep replaying in my head. What I could have done differently. What if I hadn’t cooked and took care of her instead. Just breaks my heart.

I know. This won’t be the last. I know as my baby girl grows up she will trip and fall and get hurt. That’s part of growing up. But it still hurts. I never want anything like that to happen to my precious girl.

I guess this is how all moms feel about their children.

Her bruise on her forehead will be darker tomorrow. Even more noticeable. I hope it heals fast. I will be extra soothing her tomorrow. My precious baby.

Almost 5.5 months old.

She has been belly laughing more frequently these days. Especially towards Ellye, our goldie.

She sleeps from 8pm to 6:30am now. I’m super thankful. I wonder how long that will last. Haha. Well, I’m going to enjoy this as long as I can!
