Purchase from Zulily!! Aren’t those adorable? I purchased more things from that site. Someone got to stop me! Lol.

Been pretty busy again. Mother’s day, hang outs and a bad tummy ache kept me occupied. Also started cleaning house like mad person. Hehe.

Is that me nesting? ;) Tomorrow I’m cleaning windows and fridge. And still more to clean and organized. Definitely not easy with this belly growing.

Also my husband and I are planning our own baby shower. Well not shower. Just gather. I’m not a big fan of baby showers with games and belly talks. I rather hang out with friends and talk about what they do and catch up. :) I can’t wait!

Been quite busy for 4 days! Okay, I’m lying. I wasn’t “busy”. But there were events happening every day and honestly it wears me out!

It’s pretty ridiculous how easily tired I get now. I will go out and do something for 3-4 hours and when I come home I am completely pooped out. I go to bed early and actually sleep through the whole night cause I’m so tired.

Two days ago my mother in law sent us bunch of baby stuff from States! :D I was so thrilled and thankful! Those two pairs of shoes are my favorites! My dog, Ellye was sooo curious that she sniffed everything that was in the box.

Yesterday was my husband and I’s 2nd Wedding Anniversary! :D Due to my easily tiredness, we decided to rest up during the day (my husband had to work anyways) and go out for fancy dinner up on mountain restaurant. We enjoyed the downtown view while eating.

I remember on our 1st Anniversary dinner, we decided to try for baby at the end of the 2011 and yesterday, we were talking about how to raise our baby girl together and what to expect etc. Lol. Overall, we had a fantastic anniversary! :)

Today, we have private birthing class. We looked into group classes but my husband and I, both agreed that we will barely pay any attention unless it’s one on one so we hired someone who can teach us privately in our home. Recommended by our midwives. :)

Baby is kicking away again as I type. It’s really cool to see my belly shift and changing shapes as she moves around my belly. Haha. I’m totally loving it!

I Dislike Orange Soda, Yuck

25 1/2 weeks! Yay!

This morning I got up and spontaneously decided I will go get my 2 hour glucose tolerance test. I felt pretty good and as I do every day I don’t eat anything after 8-9pm due to heartburn. And trust me, you don’t want to sleep with heartburn and big belly. Lol.

So my 12 hours fasting was good to go and only been drinking water ever since so I got ready and husband dropped me off to BC Biomedical. Surprisingly, there were 2 other pregnant ladies getting same test done as me so I didn’t feel left out sitting there for that long.

After I got my first blood drawn out, they gave me this sugary drink that tastes like orange soda. It wasn’t TOO bad but still it was very gross… It tasted like I was drinking orange syrup. Gave me heartburn immediately of course and had to sip water through out the next two hours to cope with the heartburn. Lol.

I hope the result comes out normal. *fingers crossed*

Baby is kicking away at me as I type on my keyboard. Too cute. :)

She is getting bigger and I’m starting to feel that weight now. Doing small chores around the house wears me out. I am definitely getting tired easily moving around with this belly.

Trying to pick up something off the ground is another problem. My husband laughs and awes me when I try to pick up something. It really is hard to bend over to even put my shoes on! Lol.

Ah the life of pregnancy. It’s not easy but I’m enjoying every bit of it. 3 more months to go. Can’t wait to meet my little girl! :)

Ultrasound at week 20! Isn’t she gorgeous? ;)
It was definitely very exciting to watch her move!
I remember that morning, I woke up and told my husband that I wanted to go in an hour early since I had to hold my bladder for an hour. And I have a habit of having to pee before I leave the house. Yes, I have a strange phobia. Lol. They needed me to have a full bladder so they can check my cervix.
When we got to clinic, they actually let me in early and check on baby first while my bladder filled up. :) Also, found out that we are having a girl!! I will never forget that day. I didn’t cry when we were in the room staring at the monitor trying to catch her tiny movements but I surely bawled my eyes out the moment we left while holding on to 5 images of my baby girl. I think I needed some time for it to kick in. Another happiest day of my life!
On the way home, we called my side of family and when we got home we called my husband’s side of family in States. They were so thrilled that we are having a girl and most of them said, “I told you so!” Haha. Both my husband and my side are girls first! ;)
I’m just glad my girl is healthy and right on the schedule!
By the way, isn’t her head shape so PERFECT? HAHAha! I can’t help it but just stare at it and think how perfect her head shape is. Haha. Or am I already blinded by my baby girl?  I just love her!
Today, I feel like I have more energy than yesterday. I finally started cleaning the house inside and out. Doing one thing at a time. Still got tons and tons to do.
Tonight, I plan to finish filling out Hospital Birth Registration form and sent it out hopefully tomorrow. Yes, registration form. It’s super organized over here in BC Canada. I love it. I can also sign up for hospital tour for $25/couple. Yes, we DO plan on doing that. Lol. We want to make sure the day I’m in labor, we know where to go! Also, I want to check out what the private room looks like.
Speaking of private room. You have to request for it as early as possible and costs almost $200 per night. Ridiculous right? But I really don’t think I can share a room with 4 other moms and babies. Especially my mother strongly advised it. When she had me, she stayed in a room with 6 other moms and babies. Her experience wasn’t that great. Nurses come in and out and some moms moan through out the night which gives you no time to really rest after giving birth. Mom also experienced private room when she had my brother. She had the best time ever. :) So I’m taking her advice and going with private room. Haha.
Oh look at that. I have rambled on and on. This is what happens when I try to cover everything that has happened over the last month.
Time to start dinner!

Time to start dinner!

Wow it’s been so long since I last blogged!

I’ve been busy with work and trying to maintain my energy with pregnancy. And as of yesterday, I’m on maternity leave! Yay! Or more so in process of applying for maternity benefits with Service Canada. :)

The above photo was taken at week 24. And currently I’m on week 25. Not too much of difference from week 24 and now. Maybe 1cm difference? Haha.

She is growing well! Oh! Did I mention I’m having a girl? Haha. I missed sharing all the good news on here! She kicks and moves like crazy. Pretty much none stop. She isn’t big enough to kick my ribs but she surely loves to kick my bladder AND intestine… Kicking my bladder isn’t too bad but kicking my intestine surely feels awkward and uncomfortable. Lol.

Overall, I’m a happy mama. :)

I’m going to try to blog everyday now. I want to document as much as possible for me and my baby girl.

Tomorrow marks my 18th weeks of pregnancy! Yes, already 18 weeks! I’m surprised how time flies by so quickly!

I’ve been a bit distant to tumblr due to my work load. It was my catch up weeks for the last two weeks and finally I got some time today to blog. :)

A lot has happened last two weeks.

My belly is definitely showing more. Can’t hide it anymore!  I am able to feel the baby swimming around in my belly. I can feel  him/her swimming right now as I’m typing. Haha. It likes/dislikes musics and beats since it moves like crazy.

I’ve finally stopped taking diclectin completely and started taking Materna vitamins. Also, avoiding junk food and sticking to mixed nuts and cucumbers for snacking. Yes, I’m trying my best to eat healthy! :D

My parents bought us Bugaboo Cameleon stroller as a gift. And my grandparents bought us baby crib which is arriving tomorrow! :D Very very happy with our choices and very thankful to my parents and grandparents.

And speaking of stroller and crib.. They are SUPER EXPENSIVE!… I am very glad it was gifted to us. Stroller I understand why it costs over $1000 and we did pick one of the best strollers in the world out there. But crib… I was amazed. If you are wanting to spend couple hundred dollars on a crib, good luck. Go to Ikea. You will find one but very very unstable looking to put your newborn baby in. I don’t trust it.

But if you try to find a pretty decent built crib the cheapest one you could probably find is around $400 range. Looks so much stable than Ikea cribs but still pretty thin and looks cheap. Most stable well built looking cribs cost from $600 to even up to $3000.

My husband and I did a lot of looking around. Stores and even online stores and finally decided to go with one of the medium range crib in Babies R Us. After we got that out of the way it was time to pick mattress. LOL. This was another battle. They aren’t cheap either. Most expensive ones we saw were $500 to $700. Cheapest ones we saw were $80 which the staff did not recommend it to us at all since we were looking for mattress to use as a daybed once our baby turns to toddler. So again we went with the mid-range mattress. I’m pretty happy with it. :)

Walking around the baby store with my husband was definitely an eye opener. Seeing how many things we needed to buy and how much they cost. Baby equals money. Lol. We have our eyes open for any sort of sales now. Baby items sale? We are definitely there.

Following weekend is more shopping weekend. We got our baby room closet cleaned out so we are going to go find some cute organizers. Now those you can trust Ikea for. ;)

Welp, this was a long blog. But that’s what I get for not blogging for two weeks!

LOL I heart my grandpa...

  • Grandpa: When do you figure out the gender of the baby?
  • Me: End of March.
  • Grandpa: Great!
  • Me: I will let you know as soon as I find out!
  • Grandpa: Oh, I don't mind if it's a boy or a girl. I will be happy no matter what! (Long pause) But it would be amazing if it was a girl.
  • Me: Oh.....

Dear baby, You Almost Sent Your Dad to Mexico…

Last night, for some odd weird reason, I craved SUGAR CANE. Yes, sugar cane. Not candy cane. Not sugar. A REAL Raw stick of sugar cane.

Absolutely nothing triggered me to crave it. (Other than being pregnant?) I just thought of it and craved it. I mentioned it to my husband while watching TV and searching how/where to buy sugar cane online. Also, watching others eat sugar cane on youtube didn’t help. I was just drooling over on my iPad.

This morning, I simply forgot about it. To be more exact, I gave up craving it cause it’s really impossible to find. Unless I fly down to tropical area. Lol.

Around lunch time, instead of my husband coming home straight for lunch from work, he let me know he is going to go buy us lunch. I didn’t think much of it. I just thought, ‘oh he must be wanting to eat something specific’. So I waited and he finally showed up, not so happy face.

Turns out he went out searching for SUGAR CANE!!! How can you not love this man!?

Another sweet sweet moment from my husband that touched my heart. Also, he just reassured me that he is a wonderful husband and no doubt he is going to be a fantastic dad.

I got something even more sweet today. Don’t need that stinking sugar cane. ;)

Clothes Don’t Fit Me No More

14 weeks pregnant!

And I’ve gained a pound in a week! All thanks to, of course, growing baby and junk foods. I’ve been indulging on ice cream, chips, cookies, jerkys and lots more. Drools.

Also officially, my jackets don’t fit me anymore. Only thing that I can really wear are big hoodie sweaters. :( For Valentine’s day lunch, I got all ready and put on my slightly tight fitting jacket and I was able to button up top 3 but not the bottom 2… That’s when it hit me that I really should invest some money in maternity clothes unless I start wearing my husband’s shirts. Lol.

Even my regular t-shirts are starting to not fit me well. I can for sure WEAR it. But after walking around for a minute the bottom of my shirt is all the way up on top of my belly. Lol. Yes, that’s a funny image…

So I’ve searched and looked around for maternity clothes and damn, they are NOT cheap. For one maternity jean, it costs around 40 to 150 bucks! Like OMG. And shirts.. Regular looking just plain color maternity t-shirt costs minimum 30 bucks. Unreal… I can honestly walk in to any store and they have deals like 2-3 shirts for 30 to 40 bucks. Okay, I get that it’s a “SPECIAL” t-shirt cause it’s for pregnant ladies but the material and the time they spend on making these shirts are probably same as regular shirts!

This is why I think if you are pregnant and aren’t looking to spend ton of money on maternity clothes, look for shops that offer huge sales or buy one get one free deals. Discount baby! Discount! Lol.

Thankfully, I found out Motherhood is having buy one get one free and buy one get 50% off sales in online store. Not going to lie. I went crazy with it. Lol. The offer ends in 4 days so I was determined that I wasn’t going to let this offer sit in my head for another day or two. So I purchased 14 pieces and only paid for 7 of them! ;) I’m super happy with the choices and the price. AND shipping was 8 bucks! I wouldn’t call it a steal but it was well worth it.

Can’t wait for it to arrive and start wearing some clothes that actually fits with my growing belly. :)

Don’t think I will be buying any more maternity clothes now. These clothes I purchased and few I purchased before should last me all through pregnancy and even post pregnancy~

My next target is SHOES! ;) I need at least 1 runner and 1 flats and 1 sendal! I’m heel and boots kinda girl so I need some low comfy summer shoes to last me through pregnancy. Haha.

I know, I love shopping. :P Can’t help it! Anyone know any cheap shoes store now? ;)
