Ultrasound at week 20! Isn’t she gorgeous? ;)
It was definitely very exciting to watch her move!
I remember that morning, I woke up and told my husband that I wanted to go in an hour early since I had to hold my bladder for an hour. And I have a habit of having to pee before I leave the house. Yes, I have a strange phobia. Lol. They needed me to have a full bladder so they can check my cervix.
When we got to clinic, they actually let me in early and check on baby first while my bladder filled up. :) Also, found out that we are having a girl!! I will never forget that day. I didn’t cry when we were in the room staring at the monitor trying to catch her tiny movements but I surely bawled my eyes out the moment we left while holding on to 5 images of my baby girl. I think I needed some time for it to kick in. Another happiest day of my life!
On the way home, we called my side of family and when we got home we called my husband’s side of family in States. They were so thrilled that we are having a girl and most of them said, “I told you so!” Haha. Both my husband and my side are girls first! ;)
I’m just glad my girl is healthy and right on the schedule!
By the way, isn’t her head shape so PERFECT? HAHAha! I can’t help it but just stare at it and think how perfect her head shape is. Haha. Or am I already blinded by my baby girl? I just love her!
Today, I feel like I have more energy than yesterday. I finally started cleaning the house inside and out. Doing one thing at a time. Still got tons and tons to do.
Tonight, I plan to finish filling out Hospital Birth Registration form and sent it out hopefully tomorrow. Yes, registration form. It’s super organized over here in BC Canada. I love it. I can also sign up for hospital tour for $25/couple. Yes, we DO plan on doing that. Lol. We want to make sure the day I’m in labor, we know where to go! Also, I want to check out what the private room looks like.
Speaking of private room. You have to request for it as early as possible and costs almost $200 per night. Ridiculous right? But I really don’t think I can share a room with 4 other moms and babies. Especially my mother strongly advised it. When she had me, she stayed in a room with 6 other moms and babies. Her experience wasn’t that great. Nurses come in and out and some moms moan through out the night which gives you no time to really rest after giving birth. Mom also experienced private room when she had my brother. She had the best time ever. :) So I’m taking her advice and going with private room. Haha.
Oh look at that. I have rambled on and on. This is what happens when I try to cover everything that has happened over the last month.
Time to start dinner!
